2026-2027 Career Fellow

CPD is hiring Career Fellows for the 2026-2027 school year!

Career Fellows are peer career advisors trained to introduce students to Career and Professional Development (CPD) resources, help create and refine resumes and cover letters, and provide tips for navigating the job or internship search. They welcome students and guests into the CPD office, conduct in-person and Zoom peer career advising appointments through Handshake, and work on projects for CPD advisors. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource for peers as an expert on the CPD Canvas course, Handshake, LinkedIn, Colonnade Connections, and other CPD resources and job-related tools
  • Advise peers through resume reviews, cover letter reviews, LinkedIn profile creation, networking best practices, interview preparation, and mock interviews
  • Complete special projects as requested by CPD advisors, including creating lists of potential alumni for events, drafting industry-specific guides, conducting ad hoc research of niche career interests, and much more
  • Attend, support, and increase awareness of CPD events and programs across campus
  • Encourage peers to engage with the CPD office

All Career Fellows will attend training(s) in the fall as well as ad hoc team meetings throughout the year. Career Fellows will be trained and cleared to advise peers in 5 types of one-on-one appointments: Introduction to CPD, Resume Review, LinkedIn and Networking, Cover Letter Review, and Interview Preparation and Mock Interview.

 

If you are eligible for work study, your Career Fellow job will be your work study position for the 2026-2027 school year. Reach out to the Office of Financial Aid to inquire about your work study status if you are uncertain. You may not have more than one work study position, so if you are selected to be a Career Fellow, this will be your work study. If you are not work study eligible, you will be paid as a part-time student employee of CPD as a Career Fellow.

 

To apply to be a Career Fellow for the 2026-2027 school year, submit your resume on this Handshake posting AND complete the external application form by Monday 3/23 at 12:00pm (NOON) ET. If you do not submit both by the deadline, your application will not be considered.
